Book Private Coaching

Hey there!

I'm Evelyn Hecht, PT

I offer my guidance for your pelvic healing journey

I bring over 25 years of experience as a Master Clinician in Pelvic Physical Therapy, chronic pain specialist, women’s health researcher, and university educator — all dedicated to helping individuals reclaim comfort and confidence in their bodies.

Through my work, I’ve personally treated more than 15,000 patients of all genders navigating complex pelvic health challenges. What I’ve learned is that true healing happens when we treat more than just the body — we must also work with the nervous system.

My passion lies in teaching you how to understand the drivers behind persistent pelvic pain and dysfunction, so you can stop fearing your symptoms and start building healthier patterns from the inside out.

Whether you’re working with a provider or managing care on your own, PelvicSense is here to support your healing — from the privacy of home, at your own pace.

Together, we’ll shift your system from protection mode to healing mode. Let’s begin.

Committed to Helping All Individuals Overcome Pelvic Pain

From Darkness

Growing up in the "give it to me straight" energy of Brooklyn NY, reading my mother’s copies of Ms. Magazine, and living abroad helped me become a pioneer and leader in pelvic physical therapy.

I grew up in a strict, repressed religious family where open discussion about bodies and sexuality was limited. The "private parts" were considered shameful, disgusting, something to be kept hidden, so I experienced strong feelings of pelvic shame. My well-meaning mom was brought up in a repressed family and culture where these topics were often avoided. When I got my first period, then called "the curse," she hurriedly handed me a pad without a word and gave me aspirin for the cramps. Period. This experience highlighted the lack of positive and informative education surrounding bodily changes that many individuals face.

No hugs to welcome me into womanhood, no talk about the joys of sex. Sex was an activity to avoid, and if you "did it," you'd probably experience pain or get "knocked up." Hmm... These early experiences illuminated for me how deeply shame and silence can impact our relationship with our bodies, particularly in the sensitive pelvic region, and how this can contribute to or exacerbate pain and dysfunction.

My family was blessed to live abroad during my teens. This helped me see other cultures with very positive views about the female body and helped me heal from shame."

Towards Light

When I began my physical therapy career in a large hospital, countless patients would confide in me their deepest, most embarrassing concerns of leaking, urgency, vaginal pain, constipation and more.

They’d ask: “How can I have a husband or partner if sex hurts?” or “What do I say to my friends when they invite me out to dinner and I go to the bathroom five times an hour?”

I knew I had a calling, a gift to help people let go of feelings of shame and the deep-rooted, cultural thinking that pelvic pain and bladder/bowel issues are “just something they have to live with.”

Seeing how the impact of societal norms on individuals' relationships with their bodies resonated across many cultures, I sensed that I could contribute to empowering them by helping them heal and love themselves.

Drawing upon my years of experience and the successful techniques I used with thousands of patients in my NYC practice, by offering this program through the digital space, more people with pelvic issues can learn the empowerment self-care techniques that helped so many.

I offer you hope and the steps to achieve significant pelvic healing.
